Keeping the art of handmade alive
Learn embroidery, sewing and other traditional arts in a friendly, welcoming space.
Roe-Yi’s began with a deep love of embroidery and other traditional textile arts — and a quiet fear they might fade away. Founder Roe-Yi grew up surrounded by the hum of thread and the rhythm of needlework, watching stories take shape through fabric, patience, and care.
Keeping the art of handmade alive
Those early memories sparked a lifelong belief that creativity is more than skill — it’s a way of understanding ourselves and connecting with others.
As the world moves faster and digital distractions multiply, many people feel the loss of working with their hands. Roe-Yi wanted to create a space that brought people back to the grounding joy of slow, meaningful making. A place where heritage techniques meet modern sensibility, where creativity feels grounding, fresh, and beautifully human, and where the old arts of embroidery, weaving, sewing, beadwork and hat making can flourish in the present day.
We celebrate the beauty of making by hand — not perfection, but presence. Each workshop invites you to pause, breathe, and rediscover the kind of creativity that comes from touch, texture and mindful repetition. Whether you’re learning embroidery for the first time or exploring more advanced crafts, the experience is always personal, gentle and deeply rewarding.

A Home for Makers
A creative hub, not just a studio
Roe-Yi’s is a living, breathing hub of artists, makers and dreamers who gather to share skills, stories and laughter. Creativity unfolds side-by-side here, with room for experimentation, mistakes, discoveries and joy. People often arrive curious about embroidery, weaving, or other crafts, and leave with so much more — confidence, community and a sense of belonging.
The energy is warm and inclusive. We value encouragement over expertise, community over competition, and curiosity over perfection. Our studio is a place where beginners feel supported and experienced makers feel inspired.
A Supportive Space to Create
A community that values people as much as art
We believe creativity grows best in a space free from pressure or judgment. Our teachers are passionate about helping you uncover what you can do — guiding with patience, celebrating every small success, and making sure you leave not just with a creation, but with confidence.
Roe-Yi’s isn’t just about textiles. It’s about connection, mindfulness, and rediscovering the joy of working with your hands. Every class is an invitation to slow down, reconnect, and remember that creativity is innate — sometimes we just need a place to remember it.
